Senior Director, Global Quality

Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Creates, implements, and improves companies Strategic Quality Plan, related quality objectives, projects and goals for associated departments. Provides update and recommendation to the Executive Team and other senior management, with regard to the status of such objectives, projects and goals – as relate to cross-functional business objectives. • Assures compliance to applicable internal and external regulations, standards, policies and procedures related to the quality and regulatory status and performance of all the Corporations operations, processes and products. • Provides guidance to the definition of process quality issues, measurementof current process performance, analysis of root cause defects, and development of targeted process improvement opportunities with business partners. • Maintains contact with critical vendors, professional organizations, consultants and peers in order to be current with prevailing industry standards. • Act as a change agent to instill a zero-defect culture and ensure principles are utilized consistently throughout the business organization. • Assures that critical strategic priorities at the site and corporate levels are afforded resources and sufficient oversight to assure timely resolution, without undue concern for delay, non-conformance or non-compliance. • Responsible for defining and approving departmental budget and capital expenditures as well as coordinating activities with various facility Managing Directors and Plant Managers. • Represents the Corporation as the executive liaison with direct contact with external customers and vendors. • Ensures the internal audit program is adequately defined and in a manner that is both timely and global in nature. • Provides organizational and subject matter expert (SME) support for company acquisitions of new or existing products, processes, techniques, procedures or facilities/equipment – in regards to assuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory criteria. • Recommend actions or policies that result in cost reduction, efficiencies or increased profitability to the company. • Exercises independent action with personnel within established company policy and procedures.

Basic Qualifications: Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise The individual must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technology-based degree, MBA is a plus • At least 10-15 years of Quality management experience related to automotive or off-highway customers. • Ability to travel as required to customers and facilities including international travel (30-50%) • Experience in a precision manufacturing environment – preferably metals. • Experience in high volume manufacturing as well as medium volume high mix products. • Experience in automotive, AIAG/APQP environment preferred • Advanced Training in Six Sigma, Shainin, and Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies. • Track record of successful cross functional/ project management & deployment leadership experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for all Quality (Supplier, Production, and Customer) for a six facility international manufacturing company withannual revenues of over $280million with aggressive growth in progress. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, the effective planning and coordination of global resources to improve overall quality in accordance with APQP and TS16949.This position requires a leader that is able to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and ever changing environment, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Key to success in this position is the ability to work within and across the organization at all levels creating value and buy-in as the key change facilitator for the company’s common lean improvements. The position will report to the COO of the company., and will be based in either Connecticut or eastern North Carolina
